Comfortable.

Close your eyes.

Trust me on this.

Now picture your life.

Think of all the things you do in a day.  People you meet.  Things you do.  Places you go.

Do you feel like you're missing out on something that really healthy people have?

That effortless running around from appointment to soccer practice to gym to....and they seem happy and energetic.  They don't even think about clothes and 'what on earth fits me' and 'will this make me look fat' - it doesn't really pose an issue as clothes are comfortable and fit well.  They feel confident, instead of feeling big and thinking everyone is judging them on their size.  They feel comfortable with themselves.

I was in the kitchen today thinking to myself.  The kinds of limitations our size has on us.  On our self confidence.  On our perception of other people and what they think of us.  On our ability to go through the day and not feel exhausted because we feel out of shape.
On our ability to feel comfortable.

What would I do differently if I was I was completely comfortable with my body and self image?

What kinds of daily activities or duties would I do differently?  What trips would I go on?  Would I take a fun class I've been thinking about doing?

If my clothes fitting was never an issue and I felt completely comfortable in my body, what kind of style of clothing would I wear?

Would losing weight bring out the 'real me' and I'd feel more myself again?

It's funny, because one of the biggest things that cause people to stop on their quest to become healthy is loss of motivation.

Your life has value now.  Not losing one pound.

But I like to think that life is always about improving our inner self as well as our outer beings as we go through life.

What is your motivation?  What is your reason for exercising or eating healthy?  Is it to feel comfortable in your own skin?

In my opinion, other than for health risks, that's one of the best reasons to want to lose weight.
To feel comfortable.

Think about it.

Close your eyes again and imagine.
