Do you believe this? I do.
There are days when I head off to the gym and everything is in full-swing with the kids, organizing homework, cleaning up from a busy day, making supper etc etc....
....and I feel guilty that I'm leaving the house for some alone time at the gym..
But if I was to stay at home and continue my day without that break for myself, I wonder if I would be okay. I wonder if I would feel as good mentally and physically.
I don't think I would.
That hour I spend at the gym is not self indulgent. That hour I spend is for me to continue to improve myself. If you don't have the option to run out to the gym, spend some time when the kids go to bed and exercise a bit - put on a movie that you like and get out your exercise ball, hop on your own treadmill or bike and put an earbud in and listen to your favorite songs.
Spend that time on yourself.
Have an amazing stretching session once you're done and reap the benefits as weeks go by.
As cheesy as it is to say, you are soooo worth it. If you have people to support you in your fitness goals, that is amazing and please take advantage of their generosity. If you feel alone or have others discouraging you, please find it in yourself to make yourself a priority. There is always time to spend if you really find it - and plan for it.
